Governing Equations of Linear Elasticity and Boundary Conditions

The previous chapter introduced the key concepts of elasticity by developing separate equations for stress, strain, and their constitutive relationship. Now, in this chapter, we will put all those pieces together to form the complete set of governing equations. We will then turn our attention to the practical side of solving problems by discussing boundary conditions. Finally, we will cover Saint Venant's principle, an important concept that helps us simplify these conditions in real-world applications.
